Beeswax Thread Conditioner Kraft Pot
Twisted Bees 100% Beeswax Thread Conditioner
Poured into a 0.25 oz Kraft Pot
Made ourselves in-house using 100% beeswax from happy PNW & West Coast pollinators :-)
No scents, no additives – 0.25 oz of just pure filtered beeswax poured into eco-friendly Kraft paper pots. Once you're done with your wax, the paper pot is completely recyclable!
Perfect size for your hands and your sewing kit; 35mm (1.38”) x 20mm (0.79”) (about the size of a small Carmex pot)!
A close friend took up beekeeping to make his brother's wedding favors. While most wedding guests walked away with honey, we walked away with a favor of our own– PNW beeswax!
Perfect to use for any projects that require hand stitching like applique and English Paper Piecing. Beeswax is also great to use with metallic thread!
Q: Why use beeswax as a thread conditioner?
A: Beeswax helps your thread glide through fabric, reducing friction and drag - lessening hand fatigue! Conditioning thread reduces static and prevents tangling; it also strengthens your thread, increasing durability of your finished stitches.
Q: Why beeswax vs. another wax?
A: It's what we had available, and we love our pollinating friends! Additionally, beeswax not only leaves less visible residue when stitching, and it's also more steadfast vs. paraffin wax.
Q: Where does TT Fabs source their beeswax from?
A: We are committed to locally sourcing our beeswax exclusively from the PNW and neighboring Pacific Coast hives– Never, ever from mass third-party sellers like Amazon or Temu.
Q: What else can I use beeswax for?
A: Our beeswax is also multipurpose– it makes a great leather conditioner for burnishing or "healing" leather scuffs, or helping unhappy puppy paws
